Banked Track Roller Derby
Banked Track Roller Derby is a fast-paced, contact sport played on a specially designed oval track that is elevated at the corners. Teams consist of five players each, including blockers and a jammer, who score points by lapping opposing players. The banked track allows for higher speeds and more dynamic gameplay compared to flat track roller derby.
The game is played in periods called jams, lasting up to two minutes. Players wear protective gear, including helmets and pads, to ensure safety during the physical interactions. The sport has gained popularity, with leagues forming worldwide, promoting athleticism and teamwork among participants.
