Bangui Windmills
The Bangui Windmills are a series of wind turbines located along the coast of Bangui, a municipality in the Philippines. These windmills were constructed in 2005 and are the first power-generating wind farm in Southeast Asia. They stand 70 meters tall and are designed to harness wind energy to produce electricity, contributing to the region's renewable energy supply.
The wind farm consists of 20 turbines that stretch for about 9 kilometers along the shoreline. The Bangui Windmills not only provide clean energy but also serve as a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors who come to admire their impressive size and scenic backdrop of the West Philippine Sea.
