Banana Cultivation
Banana cultivation involves growing banana plants, primarily in tropical and subtropical regions. The plants thrive in well-drained, fertile soil and require a warm climate with plenty of sunlight and rainfall. Farmers typically plant banana seeds or suckers, which are young shoots from existing plants, to start new crops.
Once planted, banana plants take about 9 to 12 months to produce fruit. They require regular care, including watering, fertilizing, and pest management. After harvesting, the plants can continue to produce fruit for several years before needing to be replaced. Proper cultivation practices ensure healthy yields and sustainable production.
