Bamboo Viper
The Bamboo Viper, scientifically known as Trimeresurus gramineus, is a venomous snake found primarily in Southeast Asia. It typically inhabits bamboo forests and is known for its striking green coloration, which provides excellent camouflage among the foliage. This snake can grow up to 1.5 meters in length and has a slender body, making it agile in its arboreal environment.
Bamboo Vipers are primarily nocturnal and feed on small mammals, birds, and amphibians. Their venom is hemotoxic, affecting blood cells and tissues, which can be dangerous to humans. However, bites are relatively rare, as these snakes tend to avoid confrontation and rely on their camouflage to evade predators.
