Balerion
Balerion was a legendary dragon from the fictional world of A Song of Ice and Fire, created by author George R.R. Martin. Known as Balerion the Black Dread, he was one of the largest and most fearsome dragons in history, with a wingspan that could cast a shadow over entire cities. Balerion was a key asset to Aegon the Conqueror during the Targaryen conquest of Westeros, helping to establish Targaryen rule.
Balerion was named after the Valyrian god of fire and death, symbolizing his destructive power. He breathed fire hot enough to melt stone and was instrumental in battles, instilling fear in enemies. After his death, Balerion's skull became a prominent feature in the Red Keep, serving as a reminder of the Targaryen legacy.
