Aegon the Conqueror
Aegon the Conqueror, also known as Aegon I Targaryen, was the first king of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. He began his conquest in Aegon's Landing with his sisters, Visenya and Rhaenys, in 2 AC (After Conquest). Aegon united the realm through military might and strategic marriages, establishing the Targaryen dynasty.
Aegon is famous for riding the dragon Balerion the Black Dread, which helped him defeat his enemies. His reign marked the beginning of the Targaryen rule, which lasted nearly 300 years. Aegon’s legacy includes the Iron Throne, forged from the swords of his defeated foes.
