Baldwin III Of Jerusalem
Baldwin III of Jerusalem was a king who ruled from 1143 to 1163. He was the son of Baldwin II and became king at a young age after his father's death. His reign is noted for efforts to strengthen the Kingdom of Jerusalem and defend it against Muslim forces, particularly during the ongoing conflicts of the Crusades.
Baldwin III is also recognized for his military campaigns, including the successful siege of Ascalon in 1153. He worked to consolidate power and improve relations with local Christian leaders. His reign marked a period of relative stability before the challenges that would follow in the late 12th century.
