Bagram Airfield
Bagram Airfield is a military airbase located in Afghanistan, approximately 11 miles northeast of Kabul. It was originally built by the Soviet Union in the 1950s and has been used by various military forces since then. The airfield played a crucial role during the U.S. military operations in Afghanistan following the events of September 11, 2001.
The base served as a key logistical hub for air operations and troop deployments. It housed various military units and provided support for missions throughout the region. Over the years, Bagram Airfield became one of the largest military installations in Afghanistan before its closure in 2021.
