Bagh Caves
The Bagh Caves are a group of rock-cut Buddhist caves located in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. Dating back to the 5th to 6th centuries, these caves are known for their intricate frescoes and sculptures. The site consists of around 29 caves, with the most notable being the chaitya (prayer hall) and viharas (monasteries) that showcase ancient artistic techniques.
These caves are situated in a scenic area surrounded by dense forests, making them a popular destination for tourists and historians alike. The Bagh Caves are often compared to the more famous Ajanta Caves, but they are less crowded, offering a serene experience for visitors interested in ancient Indian art and architecture.
