Baekje Kingdom
The Baekje Kingdom was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, existing from 18 BCE to 660 CE. It was located in the southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula and was known for its advanced culture, art, and trade. Baekje played a significant role in the spread of Buddhism and Chinese culture in Korea.
Baekje was founded by Onjo, the son of King Dongmyeong, and it became a powerful state through military conquests and alliances. The kingdom was known for its skilled artisans and impressive architecture, including the famous Baekje Historic Areas, which are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
