Baekje Historic Areas
The Baekje Historic Areas are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in South Korea, recognized for their significance in the history of the Baekje Kingdom. This ancient kingdom thrived from 18 BCE to 660 CE and played a crucial role in the cultural exchange between Korea, China, and Japan.
The site includes three main locations: Gongsanseong Fortress, Buyeo Historic Site, and Nakhwaam Rock. These areas feature well-preserved archaeological remains, including temples, fortresses, and royal tombs, showcasing the advanced architecture and artistry of the Baekje civilization.
