Bacolor Church
Bacolor Church, officially known as the San Guillermo Parish Church, is located in Bacolor, Pampanga, Philippines. This historic church was originally built in the 19th century and is known for its Baroque architecture. It has been a significant religious site for the local community and has undergone several renovations over the years, especially after being affected by natural disasters.
The church is famous for its unique feature of being partially buried in lahar, a volcanic mudflow from the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. This event led to the church's altar being submerged, making it a notable landmark in the area. Today, Bacolor Church remains an important cultural and spiritual center for the residents of Bacolor and surrounding regions.
