Baccharis
Baccharis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, commonly known as the aster or daisy family. It consists of about 300 species, primarily found in the Americas, particularly in South America and North America. These plants are often shrubs or small trees and are known for their small, white or yellow flowers that bloom in clusters.
Many species of Baccharis thrive in wetland areas and are important for soil stabilization and habitat for wildlife. Some species are also used in traditional medicine and have ecological significance as they provide nectar for pollinators like bees and butterflies.
