Babele Peak
Babele Peak is a prominent mountain peak located in the Bucegi Mountains of Romania. It stands at an elevation of approximately 2,229 meters (7,347 feet) and is known for its unique rock formations, which have been shaped by erosion over time. The peak is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The name "Babele" translates to "the old women" in Romanian, referring to the peculiar rock shapes that resemble elderly figures. The area is also home to the Babele Sphinx, another famous rock formation nearby. Both sites are accessible via hiking trails and a cable car from the Bușteni resort.
