Babe Didrikson Zaharias
Babe Didrikson Zaharias was an American athlete born on February 26, 1911, in Port Arthur, Texas. She excelled in multiple sports, including track and field, basketball, and golf. Didrikson gained fame at the 1932 Summer Olympics, where she won two gold medals and one silver medal in athletics.
In addition to her Olympic success, Zaharias became a professional golfer and was one of the founding members of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). She won 10 major championships during her golf career and is remembered as one of the greatest female athletes in history. Zaharias passed away on September 27, 1956.
