Baba Sawan Singh
Baba Sawan Singh, also known as the "Great Master," was a prominent spiritual leader in the Sant Mat tradition. Born on August 15, 1858, in Punjab, India, he became the disciple of Baba Jaimal Singh and later succeeded him as the head of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas organization. He is known for his teachings on meditation, inner peace, and the importance of a living spiritual guide.
Throughout his life, Baba Sawan Singh emphasized the practice of Surat Shabd Yoga, a form of meditation that focuses on the inner sound and light. He authored several books and gave numerous discourses, attracting many followers. Baba Sawan Singh passed away on April 2, 1948, leaving a lasting legacy in spiritual communities worldwide.
