BTK Killer
The BTK Killer, whose real name is Dennis Rader, is an American serial killer known for committing a series of murders in Kansas between 1974 and 1991. The name "BTK" stands for "Bind, Torture, Kill," which describes his method of operation. Rader eluded capture for decades, taunting law enforcement and the media with letters detailing his crimes.
In 2005, Rader was arrested and later confessed to ten murders. He was sentenced to ten consecutive life terms in prison without the possibility of parole.
