BRI
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a global development strategy launched by the government of China in 2013. It aims to enhance regional connectivity and embrace a brighter economic future by building infrastructure and broadening trade links across Asia, Europe, and Africa. The initiative focuses on creating a network of railways, highways, ports, and other infrastructure projects to facilitate trade and investment.
BRI encompasses two main components: the Silk Road Economic Belt, which connects China to Europe through Central Asia, and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, which links China to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and beyond via sea routes. The initiative has attracted participation from numerous countries, fostering international cooperation and economic growth.
