BPJS
BPJS stands for "Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial," which translates to the Social Security Agency in Indonesia. It was established to provide health insurance and social security benefits to Indonesian citizens. The agency aims to ensure that everyone has access to essential health services and financial protection against health-related expenses.
There are two main programs under BPJS: BPJS Kesehatan for health insurance and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for employment-related social security. BPJS Kesehatan covers medical services, while BPJS Ketenagakerjaan provides benefits like pensions and work accident insurance. Together, these programs help improve the welfare of the Indonesian population.
