BBM
BBM, or BlackBerry Messenger, is a messaging application originally developed for BlackBerry smartphones. Launched in 2005, it allowed users to send text messages, images, and files securely over the internet. BBM was known for its unique features, such as read receipts and the ability to create group chats.
In 2013, BBM was made available for other platforms, including iOS and Android, expanding its user base. However, with the rise of competing messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, BBM's popularity declined. The service was officially discontinued in 2019, marking the end of an era for the once-popular messaging platform.
