B-Factory
The B-Factory is a particle accelerator located at the KEK High Energy Accelerator Research Organization in Japan. It was designed to produce and study B mesons, which are particles containing a bottom quark. The facility helps researchers explore the differences between matter and antimatter, contributing to our understanding of the universe.
Operational since 1999, the B-Factory uses a technique called electron-positron collisions to create B mesons. By analyzing the decay of these particles, scientists can test theories in particle physics and investigate fundamental questions about the nature of matter.
