Avar Culture
The Avar culture emerged in the 6th century when the Avars, a nomadic group from Central Asia, settled in the Carpathian Basin. They played a significant role in the early medieval history of Eastern Europe, influencing local societies through their military prowess and trade.
Avars were known for their unique craftsmanship, particularly in metalwork and jewelry. Their society was organized around tribal structures, with a strong emphasis on warrior traditions. The Avars also adopted elements from neighboring cultures, including Byzantine and Slavic influences, which enriched their own cultural practices and contributed to the region's diverse heritage.
