Austro-Hungarian forces
The Austro-Hungarian forces were the military units of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which existed from 1867 to 1918. This dual monarchy comprised two main regions: Austria and Hungary. The forces included a diverse range of ethnic groups, reflecting the empire's multicultural makeup, and were organized into various branches, such as the army and navy.
During World War I, the Austro-Hungarian forces fought on multiple fronts, primarily against Serbia, Russia, and Italy. Despite initial successes, they faced significant challenges, including logistical issues and internal dissent, which ultimately contributed to the empire's collapse in 1918.
