Austrian Federal States
Austria is divided into nine federal states, known as Bundesländer. These states are Burgenland, Carinthia, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Tyrol, Vorarlberg, and Vienna. Each state has its own government and constitution, allowing for local governance and administration.
The federal states vary in size, population, and economic activity. For example, Vienna is the capital and largest city, while Burgenland is the least populated. Each state contributes to Austria's cultural diversity, showcasing unique traditions, languages, and landscapes, from the Alps in Tyrol to the vineyards in Lower Austria.
