Atlas Comics
Atlas Comics was a comic book publisher active in the 1970s, founded by Martin Goodman, who previously established Marvel Comics. The company aimed to compete with Marvel and DC Comics by producing a variety of superhero and genre titles, featuring characters like The Scorpion and The Brute.
Despite its ambitious start, Atlas Comics struggled to find a lasting audience and faced financial difficulties. The company published around 50 titles before ceasing operations in 1975. Although short-lived, Atlas Comics contributed to the comic book landscape of the time and is remembered for its unique characters and stories.
