Asteroids and Meteorites
Asteroids are small, rocky bodies that orbit the Sun, primarily found in the Asteroid Belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. They vary in size from a few meters to hundreds of kilometers across and are remnants from the early solar system that never formed into planets.
Meteorites are fragments of asteroids or comets that survive their journey through the Earth's atmosphere and land on the surface. When these objects enter the atmosphere, they create bright streaks of light known as meteors. If they reach the ground, they are classified as meteorites, providing valuable information about the solar system's history.
