Assyrian people
The Assyrian people are an ethnic group originating from the ancient region of Assyria, located in present-day northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, and parts of Syria and Iran. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes a unique language, Aramaic, and a history that dates back thousands of years to one of the world's earliest civilizations.
Today, Assyrians are a minority group, with communities spread across the globe, particularly in the United States, Europe, and Australia. They maintain their traditions through music, dance, and religious practices, primarily within the Assyrian Church of the East and other Christian denominations.
