Asian Wrestling Confederation
The Asian Wrestling Confederation (AWC) is the governing body for wrestling in Asia. Established in 1983, it oversees the organization and promotion of wrestling competitions across the continent, including styles such as freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women's wrestling. The AWC aims to develop the sport and enhance its popularity among Asian nations.
The confederation is responsible for hosting various championships, including the Asian Wrestling Championships and qualifying events for the Olympic Games. It works closely with the United World Wrestling (UWW) to ensure that the rules and standards of the sport are maintained and promoted throughout Asia.
