Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is located in northern Tanzania, near the city of Arusha. It covers an area of about 137 square kilometers and is known for its diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, savannahs, and volcanic landscapes. The park is home to various wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and buffalo, as well as unique species like the black-and-white colobus monkey.
One of the park's main attractions is Mount Meru, an active volcano that offers hiking opportunities with stunning views. Visitors can also explore the Momella Lakes, which are known for their vibrant birdlife and beautiful scenery. The park provides a peaceful alternative to the more crowded Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.
