Arthur St. Clair
Arthur St. Clair was an American military officer and politician, born on March 23, 1734, in Scotland. He served as the first governor of the Northwest Territory from 1788 until 1802, playing a crucial role in the early governance of this region. St. Clair was also a veteran of the American Revolutionary War, where he gained recognition for his leadership.
