Armada de Chile
The Armada de Chile, or Chilean Navy, is the naval force of Chile, responsible for protecting the country's maritime interests and ensuring national security. Established in 1818, it plays a crucial role in safeguarding the vast coastline of over 4,300 kilometers along the Pacific Ocean. The navy operates various vessels, including submarines, destroyers, and support ships.
In addition to defense, the Armada de Chile is involved in humanitarian missions, search and rescue operations, and environmental protection. It collaborates with other nations' navies for joint exercises and training, enhancing regional security and maritime cooperation in the South Pacific.
