Arlington House
Arlington House, also known as the Robert E. Lee Memorial, is a historic mansion located in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia. Built between 1802 and 1818, it was originally the home of George Washington Parke Custis, the adopted grandson of George Washington. The house is an example of neoclassical architecture and offers stunning views of the Washington, D.C. skyline.
The mansion became significant during the American Civil War when it was seized by the Union Army. It later served as the home of Robert E. Lee and his family. Today, Arlington House is preserved as a museum, highlighting its historical importance and connection to the Civil War.
