Aravalli Mountains
The Aravalli Mountains are one of the oldest mountain ranges in India, stretching approximately 800 kilometers across the northwestern part of the country. They run from the state of Gujarat in the southwest to Rajasthan in the northeast. The range is known for its rich biodiversity, including various flora and fauna, and plays a crucial role in influencing the climate of the surrounding regions.
These mountains are also significant for their mineral resources, including marble, granite, and copper. The Aravalli Range is home to several important cities, such as Udaipur and Ajmer, and features numerous historical sites, including forts and palaces that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage.
