Aram Khachaturian
Aram Khachaturian was a prominent Armenian composer and conductor, born on June 6, 1903, in Tiflis, which is now Tbilisi, Georgia. He is best known for his orchestral works, particularly the Sabre Dance from his ballet Gayane, and the Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia from his ballet Spartacus. His music often incorporates elements of Armenian folk music, showcasing rich melodies and vibrant rhythms.
Khachaturian studied at the Moscow Conservatory and became a significant figure in 20th-century classical music. He was also a skilled pianist and received numerous awards for his contributions to music, including the title of People's Artist of the USSR. His works remain popular in concert halls around the world.
