Arabian leopard
The Arabian leopard is a subspecies of leopard found primarily in the mountainous regions of the Arabian Peninsula. It is smaller than other leopards, with a distinctive coat that features dark rosettes on a light background. This elusive cat is adapted to its arid environment, relying on its keen senses to hunt small to medium-sized prey, such as gazelles and rodents.
Due to habitat loss and poaching, the Arabian leopard is classified as critically endangered. Conservation efforts are underway to protect its remaining populations and restore its natural habitat. These efforts include establishing protected areas and raising awareness about the importance of preserving this unique subspecies.
