Arabian Plate
The Arabian Plate is a tectonic plate located in the Middle East, primarily covering the region of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by several other plates, including the Eurasian Plate to the north and the African Plate to the west. The plate is significant for its geological activity, including earthquakes and volcanic activity, due to its interactions with neighboring plates.
This plate is also home to important geological features, such as the Red Sea rift, which is a divergent boundary where the Arabian Plate is moving away from the African Plate. Additionally, the Zagros Mountains in Iran are a result of the collision between the Arabian Plate and the Eurasian Plate, showcasing the dynamic nature of Earth's crust in this region.
