Arabian Leopard
The Arabian Leopard is a critically endangered subspecies of leopard found primarily in the mountainous regions of the Arabian Peninsula. It is smaller than other leopards, with a distinctive coat featuring dark rosettes on a pale background. This adaptation helps it blend into its rocky habitat, making it an effective predator.
These leopards primarily hunt small to medium-sized mammals, such as gazelles and rodents. Due to habitat loss, poaching, and a declining prey base, the population of the Arabian leopard has drastically decreased, leading to conservation efforts aimed at protecting this unique subspecies and its environment.
