Apus
Apus is a constellation located in the southern sky. Its name comes from the Greek word for "without feet," referring to the bird of paradise. This constellation is notable for its bright stars and is best viewed during the months of May to August.
The most prominent star in Apus is Alpha Apodis, which is a blue-white giant star. Apus is relatively small compared to other constellations, covering an area of about 206 square degrees. It is bordered by Crux, Centaurus, and Pavo, making it part of a rich region of the southern celestial hemisphere.
