Antigonus II Gonatas
Antigonus II Gonatas was a king of the Hellenistic kingdom of Macedonia, ruling from 277 to 239 BCE. He was the son of Demetrius I of Macedon and a descendant of Antigonus I Monophthalmus, one of the generals of Alexander the Great. Antigonus II is known for stabilizing Macedonia after a period of turmoil and for his efforts to maintain control over the region.
