Anti-Black Racism
Anti-Black racism refers to the systemic discrimination and prejudice against individuals of African descent. This form of racism manifests in various ways, including social, economic, and political inequalities, as well as negative stereotypes that dehumanize Black individuals. It can be seen in practices such as racial profiling, unequal access to education, and disparities in the criminal justice system.
This issue is rooted in historical contexts, including the transatlantic slave trade and colonialism, which have contributed to ongoing inequalities. Efforts to combat anti-Black racism involve advocacy for civil rights, education about racial issues, and policies aimed at promoting equity and inclusion in society.
