Anthony Eden
Anthony Eden was a British politician who served as Prime Minister from 1955 to 1957. He was a member of the Conservative Party and held various government positions, including Foreign Secretary. Eden is best known for his role in the Suez Crisis of 1956, which significantly impacted his political career and the perception of British power.
Born on June 12, 1897, in Windlesham, England, Eden was educated at Eton College and Magdalen College, Oxford. He served in both World Wars and entered Parliament in 1923. After resigning as Prime Minister, he continued to serve in politics until his retirement in 1958.
