Antennaria
Antennaria is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, commonly known as pussytoes. These perennial herbs are native to North America and are often found in dry, open habitats such as meadows and rocky slopes. They typically have small, rounded leaves and produce clusters of tiny, white or pink flowers that resemble the toes of a cat, hence the name.
The plants are important for local ecosystems, providing nectar for pollinators like bees and butterflies. Antennaria species are also used in traditional medicine and can be cultivated in gardens for their unique appearance and low maintenance needs.
