Antarktika Anlaşması
The Antarktika Anlaşması, or the Antarctic Treaty, is an international agreement signed in 1959 that governs the use of Antarctica. It aims to ensure that the continent is used for peaceful purposes, primarily scientific research, and prohibits military activity, mineral mining, and nuclear testing.
The treaty has been signed by multiple countries, promoting international cooperation in scientific exploration and environmental protection. It also establishes that no territorial claims will be recognized while the treaty is in effect, ensuring that Antarctica remains a shared resource for all humanity.
