Anoplura
Anoplura, commonly known as lice, are small, wingless insects that primarily infest mammals, including humans. They are ectoparasites, meaning they live on the outside of their hosts and feed on blood. There are three main types of lice: head lice, body lice, and pubic lice, each adapted to specific areas of the host's body.
These insects have a flattened body and specialized claws for grasping hair or feathers. Anoplura reproduce quickly, laying eggs called nits that attach to hair shafts. Infestations can lead to itching and discomfort, and they are often spread through close contact or sharing personal items.
