Annie Palmer
Annie Palmer was a 19th-century American woman known for her role as a plantation owner in Jamaica. She was born in 1806 and became infamous for her alleged cruelty towards enslaved people on her estate, known as Rose Hall. Her life and actions have been the subject of various legends and ghost stories, contributing to her notoriety.
Palmer was often referred to as the "White Witch of Rose Hall," a title that reflects the dark tales surrounding her life. After her death in 1846, her estate fell into disrepair, but it remains a popular tourist attraction today, drawing visitors interested in the history of Jamaica and slavery.
