Annamayya
Annamayya, also known as Annamacharya, was a 15th-century saint and poet from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He is renowned for his devotional songs dedicated to the Hindu god Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu. Annamayya composed over 32,000 songs, known as Sankirtanas, which express deep devotion and spiritual longing.
His contributions to Telugu literature and music have made him a significant figure in the Bhakti movement. Annamayya's works are celebrated for their lyrical beauty and emotional depth, and they continue to be performed in temples and cultural events.
