Animal Traits
Animal traits are characteristics that help define different species. These traits can include physical features, such as size, color, and shape, as well as behaviors like hunting, mating, and social interactions. For example, the stripes of a tiger help it blend into its environment, while the songs of birds are used for communication and attracting mates.
Traits can be inherited or learned. Inherited traits are passed down from parents to offspring, like a dog's coat type or a cat's eye color. Learned traits, on the other hand, are acquired through experience, such as a dolphin's ability to perform tricks or a monkey's use of tools.
