"Animal Farm" is a novella by George Orwell that uses a group of farm animals to illustrate the rise of totalitarianism and the corruption of revolutionary ideals. The story begins with the animals on Manor Farm overthrowing their human owner, Mr. Jones, in hopes of creating a society where all animals are equal.
As the animals establish their own governance, the pigs, led by Napoleon and Snowball, gradually seize control. The initial principles of equality become distorted, leading to a new hierarchy where the pigs become indistinguishable from humans, highlighting the dangers of power and betrayal in political movements.
