Anika Sorenstam is a retired professional golfer from Sweden, widely regarded as one of the greatest female golfers in history. Born on October 9, 1970, she turned professional in 1992 and quickly made a name for herself on the LPGA Tour. Over her career, Sorenstam won 10 major championships and a total of 72 LPGA Tour events, showcasing her exceptional skill and dedication to the sport.
In addition to her tournament success, Sorenstam was known for her work ethic and strategic approach to golf. She became the first woman in 58 years to compete in a men's PGA Tour event in 2003, further breaking barriers in the sport.
