Anglin Brothers
The Anglin Brothers, John Anglin and Clarence Anglin, were American criminals known for their infamous escape from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in 1962. They, along with Frank Morris, devised a meticulous plan to break out of the high-security prison located on an island in San Francisco Bay. The escape involved creating makeshift rafts and dummy heads to deceive guards during bed checks.
The brothers were serving sentences for bank robbery when they executed their escape. Despite extensive searches and investigations, their fate remains uncertain, leading to speculation about whether they successfully reached freedom or perished in the waters surrounding Alcatraz.
